Dr. Brad Sandler
In 1995, Dr. Sandler joined Corrective Care becoming its Vice President in 1999. He is board certified in osteopathic manipulative medicine and specializes in the treatment of difficult muscle, tendon, ligament and joint pain syndromes.
Dr. Sandler graduated from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa in 1992. He completed his rotating internship at Oakland General Hospital in Madison Heights, Michigan in 1993. He completed his residency training in osteopathic manipulation and biomechanics from Michigan State University in 1995.
Dr. Sandler is a member of the American Academy of Osteopathy (AAO), the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine and the American Osteopathic Association. He is past chairman of the AAO's Exercise Prescription for Manipulative Medicine course, which educates physicians in advanced exercise rehabilitation. He is also a member of the Indiana Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Sandler's philosophy in treating difficult pain problems centers on treating the cause of the problem. This may include manipulation to treat muscle and joint stiffness as well as exercise rehabilitation to re-educate weakened and painful muscles. Chronically weakened and painful ligaments do not strengthen with exercise so Dr. Sandler performs ligament-strengthening injections. This involves injecting a natural irritant into ligaments in order to induce an appropriate healing reaction. The ligaments heal thicker, tighter and stronger and becomes less painful. Most importantly, Dr. Sandler believes the secret in caring for the patient is in caring for the person.
Dr Sandler is married to Amanda and has three children (a son, Nathan and two daughters, Molly and Emily). He enjoys family time together and water sports.
